History

The West Virginia Credit Union League has a rich history of serving the state's credit unions, dating back to (year). Over the years, we have evolved to meet the changing needs of our members, providing a range of services and resources to support their success.

Mission and Vision

Our mission is to serve and support West Virginia's credit unions, promoting the growth and stability of the credit union movement in the state. Our vision is to empower credit unions to deliver exceptional service to their members, while fostering a collaborative and supportive community.

Regulatory Compliance

We offer a range of compliance services, including compliance workshops, credit union visits, and inquiries by telephone and email. Our regulatory compliance team provides timely information on technical and compliance topics affecting credit unions.

Education and Training

We believe that education and training are crucial to the success of your credit union. We offer over 100 different webinars each year, covering a variety of topics, including compliance, front-line, lending, security, management, and volunteer training. Our webinars are designed to be flexible and convenient, allowing multiple viewers to participate and providing archived or on-demand options.

Operational and Technical Assistance

Our League Field Consultants provide solutions to operational problems, accounting procedures, interpretation of regulations, policy development, and technology issues. We also provide expert advice and guidance on matters such as loan origination, payment processing, and security.

Public Relations

We believe that public awareness of the credit union movement is essential to its success. Our public relations efforts involve media relations, crisis communications, and community outreach. We work closely with our member credit unions to promote the benefits of credit union membership and to shape public opinion about the credit union movement.

Community Involvement

Our WV Credit Union Foundation is a charitable arm of the League, dedicated to supporting regional or national crises that impact the credit union movement. We also fund annual scholarships to CUNA-sponsored schools and conferences and support local charities and community initiatives.
