Our Story

Meet Maria Fernanda (MaFe), the founder of Pet Care by MaFe LLC. Born and raised in Bogota, Colombia, MaFe worked as a Physical Therapist and PT professor before moving to College Park, Orlando, FL, with her family, including their Ragdoll and Angora cats, Ni-Luh and Zuri.

MaFe has a wealth of experience in the care of small animals, including treating injured animals such as cats with amputations, dogs with partial spinal cord injury and paraplegia, joint injuries from vehicle-dog accidents, and physical therapy for horses with muscular overuse injuries. She has also helped her own cat give birth to three baby kittens and worked in home pet care and dog walking during her inter-semester and summer vacations.

We believe in the importance of an Initial Visit to meet both you and your pets, understand their personalities, nuances, individual needs, and address any suggestions or concerns you may have. We are committed to helping you design the best plan that will adapt to both your needs and the needs of your pet(s) and are open to resolving questions, concerns, and suggestions for the improvement of the services offered.

Dog Walking Services

Our Dog Walking services are ideal for people who are away from home throughout the day and whose dogs do not receive human affection during this time. This service is also recommended for people who would like their dog to exercise and socialize in controlled environments with no risks. This way, you can focus on your daily activities with the satisfaction that your dog will be walked and spend the rest of the day calm and unstressed.

A daily walk is a fundamental activity as well as a basic need for the physical health of your dog. Adequate energy expenditure leads to their improved mental well-being. Daily physical activity creates a healthy lifestyle for your dog as well as lets them participate in normal canine behavior like exploring, following scents, etc. Research shows that dogs that are walked daily for 1 hr are healthier and more receptive, while dogs that do not walk daily show stressed behavior, anxiety, aggression, or boredom.

Pet Sitting Services

Our Pet Sitting services are designed for people who have pets and spend time away from home daily or occasionally, for work, travel, or vacationing. It is ideal to use a dedicated person who is both trained and experienced to care for your pet(s) in their home environment during your absence.

Pet Taxi Services

Our Pet Taxi services are designed to provide safe and comfortable transportation for your pets to and from vet appointments, grooming sessions, or any other destination.

Pet Photography Services

Our Pet Photography services are designed to capture the special bond between you and your pet. We offer professional photography sessions to capture the essence of your pet's personality, making lasting memories for you and your family.
