Approach to Therapy

My approach to therapy is client-based and mindfulness-based, with a strong emphasis on self-compassion and self-discovery. I believe that healing involves being authentic and allowing all parts of ourselves to be discovered, expressed, and embraced. Through a holistic and integrative lens, I draw from various therapeutic modalities, including:

  • Internal Family Systems Therapy (Parts Work)
  • The Hakomi Method
  • Focusing (Eugene Gendlin's Method)
  • Somatic Psychotherapy
  • Sensorimotor Psychotherapy
  • Transpersonal Psychology
  • Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)
  • Positive Psychology
  • Jungian Psychology

Working with mindfulness-based psychotherapy, you will have the opportunity to uncover core beliefs and patterns that may be holding you back from living your fullest life. Through this work, you can access different parts of yourself, learn what your strengths and resources are, and change unconscious patterns. This work allows you to develop curiosity, access new embodied experiences, and cultivate a mindfulness practice that you can incorporate into your daily life for continued growth and stress management.

My Qualifications

I hold a Master's Degree in Transpersonal Psychology from John F. Kennedy University and a BA in English Literature with a minor in Cross Cultural Studies in Language and Art from San Francisco State University. I am certified in all levels of Reiki training and enjoy studying Kabbalah, Christian Mysticism, and various healing modalities. I am a registered associate marriage and family therapist #118000, supervised by Rayne Banneck, LMFT #124607. I am practicing through the auspices of Grateful Heart Holistic Therapy Center, a nonprofit organization providing affordable psychotherapy to children, teens, adults, couples, families, and groups throughout San Francisco, the East Bay, and Contra Costa County.
