Good Samaritan Health & Wellness

Good Samaritan Health and Wellness Center is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit health and wellness center dedicated to providing compassionate and individualized healthcare services to the medically underserved in our community. Located in Jasper, Georgia, we strive to create an atmosphere of respect and dignity for all our patients, regardless of their ability to pay. Our services are designed to meet the diverse health needs of our community, including medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, and case management.

Our mission is to provide quality, compassionate, and complete healthcare for all in an atmosphere of dignity and respect. We envision Good Samaritan Health & Wellness Center as a premier Community Health Center accessible to all and dedicated to delivering the highest quality care to the people and communities we serve.

History of Good Samaritan

Good Samaritan was founded in 2000 by a group of community leaders concerned about the high number of uninsured adults in our area. Initially modeled after the Volunteers in Medicine clinic in Hilton Head, SC, we were a free clinic almost completely staffed by volunteers. Over the years, we have grown to include paid staff members, including an Executive Director, a part-time development director, and a part-time nurse practitioner. However, our commitment to volunteerism remains strong, with over 1000 community members having volunteered since we opened our doors in 2002.

Facilities and Services

In 2012, we began construction on the "Wilbur Building, " our permanent home, which was completed in 2015. Construction of Building 2 began in 2016, and its doors opened in March 2018. We are grateful for the wonderful facilities we have been blessed with and the opportunity to expand our services to meet the needs of our community. Our medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, and case management departments offer a comprehensive list of services to ensure our patients receive the best possible care.

Community Resources and Involvement

At Good Samaritan Health and Wellness Center, we believe in the power of community involvement and resources. We offer community resources and FAQs to help our patients access the care they need. We also provide opportunities for community members to donate, apply for jobs, and volunteer their time and talents. We believe that by working together, we can create a healthier and more vibrant community for all.

Our Providers and Location

Our team of dedicated healthcare providers is committed to delivering quality care to our patients. We are conveniently located at 175 Samaritan Drive in Jasper, Georgia, and our clinic hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and Thursday from 8:30 am to 8:00 pm. Our pharmacy hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Thursday from 9:00 am to 7:30 pm.
