A Heritage of Caring

Our story begins with Charles and Jeanette Maresh, who established the Maresh Funeral Home on St. Patrick Street in 1935. Driven by a deep desire to serve their community, they relocated to their current location at 803 Main Street in 1948. Tom Meredith joined the business in 1960, and in 1972, he and his wife Barbara acquired the funeral home, carrying forward the Maresh tradition of excellence.

In 1999, we welcomed the Acklam Family into our family. With a legacy dating back to 1875, the Acklams bring a rich history of serving Racine with compassion and integrity. Together, we have become Maresh-Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home, a trusted partner in grief for generations.
