At Dorey Electric Company, we are an independent, family-owned, third generation electrical contracting business that was founded in 1922. We offer a comprehensive range of electrical services to our customers, including commercial, governmental, industrial, and institutional, either as a Prime Contractor or SubContractor. Our expertise spans a wide variety of projects including underground electrical utilities, traffic signals, roadway lighting, highway signing, airport lighting, hospitals, office buildings, bridges, and high voltage installations.

Our primary goal throughout every project is safety and customer satisfaction. We are a licensed Class A Registered Electric Contractor in the Commonwealth of Virginia and hold an unlimited statewide electrical contractors license in the State of North Carolina. We are also a prequalified Class A Unlimited Contractor with the Virginia and North Carolina Departments of Transportation.

This project involved upgrading the lighting system in the eastbound tube of the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel, which included replacing the conduit and electrical cables on interior tunnel walls and removing and disposing of the existing system.
