Bear Truss has been a trusted name in the engineered wood products industry for over 30 years. The company was founded in 1982 by Ken Luneack and has since then grown to become a leading provider of quality engineered wood products in the Midwest. Over the years, Bear Truss has faced and overcome numerous challenges, including a fire that destroyed its original facility in 1993 and the ever-evolving needs of the construction industry. Today, Bear Truss operates two state-of-the-art facilities in Commerce Charter Township, MI, and St. Louis, MI, equipped with the latest technology to ensure precision and accuracy in every product it manufactures.

Our team at Bear Truss comprises highly skilled and experienced professionals with a deep understanding of the building component industry. Our sales staff has over 200 years of combined experience, and our design staff has over 100 years of combined experience. We have salespeople who work closely with lumber yards and assist builders throughout Michigan, providing them with the expertise and support they need to complete their projects successfully.

Bear Truss offers a wide range of engineered wood products and services to meet the needs of its clients. Our product line includes floor trusses, roof trusses, I-Joist, LVL beams, columns, and wall panels. We specialize in both residential and commercial projects, and our team regularly meets with builders and architects to provide assistance from preliminary design to project completion.

Our floor trusses are designed to accommodate any configuration, from clear spanning industrial spaces to residential housing. We offer wood webbed floor trusses up to 24 depth and 40' length, with mechanical chases available for easier access. Our I-joists are of the highest quality available, with immense strength and dimensional stability that helps eliminate warping, twisting, and shrinking that can lead to squeaky floors.

Our roof trusses are custom designed and fabricated to customers' plans, with a span of up to 90' and a height of up to 14' before pig tops are required. We offer sheathed gables, hip caps, and valley trusses, and our state-of-the-art equipment ensures precise laser accuracy in every truss we manufacture.
