Questions
What is the difference between an Interior Designer and an Interior Decorator?
Interior Design involves functional space planning and requires formal education plus technical skills to address structural elements. Interior Decorating focuses solely on aesthetic finishes and doesn't require professional credentials. Our services include both design and decoration.
How does the interior design process work?
We follow a structured approach: initial consultation to understand client needs, 3D modeling and design development with material selections, construction documentation, project execution oversight, and final installation with photography documentation for future reference.
How long will the project take?
Timelines vary based on project scope. Custom cabinetry typically requires 6-12 weeks lead time. We provide detailed schedules accounting for design, manufacturing, delivery, and installation phases while maintaining regular client updates throughout the process.
Do you have client testimonials or references available?
Yes, we showcase client testimonials on our website under the About section. We can also arrange direct contact with previous clients upon request to discuss their project experiences in detail.
When should I engage with an interior designer for a new home?
We recommend starting the design process during the closing period. Early engagement allows us to develop comprehensive plans that maximize your space while coordinating with contractors before possession begins.
How do you handle projects for out-of-state clients?
We maintain regular communication through virtual meetings and progress updates. Approximately half our projects involve out-of-state clients from locations like New York and Boston, with proven systems for remote collaboration and coordination.
