Since our establishment in 2001, we have been dedicated to making our clients' remodeling dreams a reality. Our Story

SCS Building and Remodeling was founded by Brent Sorensen in 2001. Brent started by doing part-time work, focusing on bathroom, kitchen, handyman, deck projects, and more. In 2005, we began full-time operations, initially run out of Brent's home in Sun Prairie. As our business grew, we moved into a 5000 square foot shop in Deforest in 2011, with the office remaining at Brent's house. In 2014, we hired our first full-time employee, and in 2016, we moved into an office on Main Street in Sun Prairie.

In 2017, we moved our entire operation into one side of a building located on Mayfair Avenue in Madison. In 2019, we promoted one of our most seasoned employees to a project manager, and in 2021, we hired a new operations manager, taking over the entire building on Mayfair Avenue. Today, SCS Building and Remodeling continues to grow, taking on new and exciting jobs while our staff becomes more experienced and skilled with every project we complete.

Meet the Team

*Founder & CEO - Brent Sorensen*

Brent's passion for the construction trades began at an early age, thanks to his father's small business. After gaining experience in sales and support, Brent decided to return to his roots and established SCS Building and Remodeling, LLC in 2001. He enjoys golfing, boating, re-purposing, and spending quality time with his family and dogs.

*Business Manager - Kacee Sorensen*

Kacee joined SCS in 2017 after transitioning from management in the transportation industry. She takes pleasure in supporting our employees and clients, especially when it comes to the design aspect of remodels. When she's not in the office, Kacee loves spending time with her family, traveling to warm destinations, taking photos, and relaxing at home.

*Operations Manager - Phil*

Phil became a part of the SCS team in 2021, bringing his experience in kitchen installations for large-scale food service productions and operation and sales in the food service industry. He is always eager to learn and try new things, making him a great fit for our ever-evolving company. In his free time, Phil enjoys riding his motorcycle, cooking, and spending time with his family.

*Project Manager - Conor*

Conor has been working at SCS since 2017 and has been involved in construction his entire life. He takes pride in seeing projects come together from initial ideas to the final product. When he's not working, Conor enjoys blacksmithing, casting, metal fabrication, custom woodworking, and spending time with his dogs.

*Tech - Carlos*

Carlos joined the SCS Team in September 2022 with no prior experience in the industry. He was eager to learn something new and different, and he has become a valuable addition to our team.
