Come on in! You'll be glad you did!

Located in the heart of Amarillo's Historic District, on the original placement of Route 66, Lile Art Gallery is one of the most unique art galleries and tourist information centers in the U.S.A. As the exclusive home of Cadilite jewelry, beautiful creations set with colorful, shaped and polished pieces of paint from the Cadillac Ranch, we offer a one-of-a-kind shopping experience.

Our Story

Our proprietor, Bob "Crocodile" Lile, is a noted Route 66 tour guide and historian, as well as an accomplished artist. Along with his 4-legged sidekicks, Lady and Zeek Lile, Bob welcomes tourists from around the world with a friendly atmosphere, a cold drink, and the answers to anything you'd like to know about America's "Mother Road". You'll also find a plethora of Rt. 66 memorabilia and a wonderful selection of artwork by "Croc" and others.

Cadilite Jewelry

Our gallery is best known for our unique jewelry, created from chunks of paint that fall from the Cadillac Ranch outside of Amarillo. This Route 66 icon has accumulated years of graffiti, as "tagging" the cars has become a tradition for travelers along the Mother Road. We gather these "blocks" (with the permission of the property owners) and slice them to create "chips" of paint. We then set the pieces in sterling silver, to create rings, earrings, pendants, bracelets, cufflinks, and other beautiful accessories. Genuine Cadilite jewelry is available ONLY from Lile Art Gallery. Although imitations exist, only Croc makes the genuine articles, and Rt. 66 tourists from around the world come to Lile Art Gallery to purchase them.

We also offer a tourist information center, where you can get all the answers to your questions about America's "Mother Road". Our friendly staff is always happy to assist you, and our 4-legged sidekicks, Lady and Zeek Lile, are always happy to meet you.
