About Us

Established in the 1970s, Briar Creek I was designed with a vision to provide a different kind of mobile home living experience. Unlike typical mobile home parks, Briar Creek I is laid out on elevations of 15 to 45 feet above sea level, with a density of only 5.3 units per acre. This results in a spacious and private community that is unlike any other. The property was originally 200 plus acres, with 22 acres sold for Mease Hospital and 5 acres for commercial development. The remaining land was used for the development of Briar Creek I.

Briar Creek I is a 55+ community, with a strong sense of pride and ownership. Residents own their own home sites, which contributes to the community's well-maintained and beautiful appearance. The community features a mix of wooded and waterfront home sites, with a variety of soft-colored units that blend in with the trees and grass.

Management and Governance

Briar Creek I is managed by a Board of Directors, who are elected by the general membership for a two-year term. The Board is responsible for administering to all the needs of Phase I, including the maintenance of the community's common areas and infrastructure. The Social Club, which is run by a separate President and Board, is responsible for managing the community's social activities.
