The Northport Performing Arts Center (NPAC), formerly known as the Northport Community Arts Center, has been a pillar of the Northport, MI community since 2001. With a commitment to the arts that spans over two decades, NPAC has been dedicated to providing high-quality shows, professional musicians, and community-focused productions to the residents of Northport and its visitors.

NPAC's mission is to bring home the performing arts to the Northport community with inspiring performances that are affordable and available to all. We believe that the arts have the power to bring people together, and we strive to make our performances accessible to everyone.

A Brief History of NPAC

The Northport Performing Arts Center has its roots in the Northport Community Arts Center, which was established in 1996 by a group of people who recognized the need for a dedicated place for the performing arts in Northport. By 1998, discussions were underway as to what an arts center at Northport Public School might look like.

The administration at Northport Public School (NPS) deemed it necessary to expand the school's number of classrooms and build a new gymnasium. At the same time, the idea of an arts center at NPS was gaining momentum. In 2000, a feasibility study was conducted, and the results were positive.

In 2001, the Northport Community Arts Center was officially established, and the first show was held in the new facility. Over the years, the center has grown and evolved, becoming an integral part of the Northport community. Today, we are proud to continue our mission of bringing home the performing arts to the Northport community, with inspiring performances that are affordable and available to all.
