Murphy's Loft has been a cornerstone of the Pocono community since 1934, evolving from a rustic hunting lodge into a beloved dining and lodging destination. Originally established as The Log Cabin, our property has hosted generations of visitors seeking hearty Pennsylvania Dutch cuisine and mountain hospitality. In 1979, Ed Murphy and Bill Lauff transformed the space into Murphy's Loft, preserving its historic charm while expanding our offerings to include modern amenities like our glass dining room and outdoor patio. The Fern Ridge Motel, constructed in 1946 using stones from Big Boulder ski slopes, complements our restaurant with comfortable accommodations.

As a family-owned business now in its second generation, we maintain our commitment to tradition through hand-prepared meals, locally sourced ingredients, and personalized service. Our historic venue hosts everything from casual meals to special events, featuring classic American dishes like our famous cheesesteak eggrolls and broiled flounder. The Lauff family continues to operate both properties, ensuring every guest experiences the warmth and authenticity that have defined our establishment for nearly a century.
