Our Team

We are a team of dedicated and experienced professionals who are passionate about providing high-quality appraisal services. Our team consists of Marian Finnegan, Terry O'Connell, and Steve Pierce, each with their own unique strengths and areas of expertise.

Marian Finnegan

Marian has been in the appraisal profession since 1988 and has served as a senior appraiser with Alpine Appraisal Group since 2000 and a managing partner since 2009. With extensive experience in various aspects of the appraisal industry, including taxation, estate work, and high-dollar valuation, Marian is known for handling complex assignments in a professional, timely, and accurate manner. She is approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) in both California (AR038657) and Nevada (A.0005571-CR).

Terry O'Connell

Terry has worked as an independent real estate appraiser with Alpine Appraisal Group since 2001 and has been a managing partner since 2009. Terry holds certifications as a residential appraiser in California (A.0206428-CR) and Nevada (A.0007764-RES) and is well-versed in the geography of Nevada as well as Placer, El Dorado, Washoe, Carson, and Douglas Counties. With extensive experience in handling appraisals of unique and complex properties, Terry specializes in divorce, date of death, and partnership buyouts, as well as federally related appraisals for refinances, new purchases, and new construction loans. Terry is an affiliate of the Appraisal Institute and is available to cater to all your appraisal needs.

Steve Pierce

Steve started as a trainee with Alpine Appraisal Group in 2018 and has over a decade of experience in real estate sales in the Tahoe and Truckee areas and eight-plus years as an appraiser. With in-depth knowledge of the area and expertise in various property types, Steve is an FHA-approved certified residential real estate appraiser serving the Lake Tahoe and Truckee, CA, areas.
