Mitchell Brothers General Contractors is a family-owned business based in the scenic town of Beaufort, South Carolina. Founded in 1946 by Dorothy and Fred Mitchell and their four brothers, the company started as a small lumber and building supply business known as Beaufort Supply Company. With time, the family expanded their operations to include a general contracting company, which is now known as Mitchell Brothers, Inc. Today, the company is proud to have been in business for over 70 years, serving the military, commercial, and health care sectors.

We have successfully completed hundreds of projects for various clients across multiple geographic regions, including Beaufort/Jasper Counties, Charleston, SC, and Albany, GA. Our projects range from as small as $2,500 to as large as $20,000,000, and we have experience working under different contracts such as Multiple Award IDIQ, design/build, design-bid-build, large scale renovations, CM at risk, and maintenance contracts.

At Mitchell Brothers, we take pride in the fact that all our projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of our clients. As a Small Business and SBA certified HUBZone Small Business, we are committed to giving back to our community. Our employees serve on various committees and boards, and we sponsor several community events, such as Military Appreciation Day. We also employ approximately 40 personnel, primarily from Beaufort and Hampton counties, and over 75% of our workforce has been with us for over five years. We believe that education is crucial to the development of our workforce and provide pay for education programs and technical degrees for our employees.
