D2D Studio Inc. is a premier Denver-based interior design boutique, where style meets serenity and shelters are transformed into sanctuaries. Our Principal Designer and owner, Lena G. Samuelson, leads the team with her passion for aesthetics and her keen eye for detail. Born in the snow-kissed Fairbanks, Alaska, but raised in the sun-soaked San Diego, Lena has a unique blend of the raw beauty of nature and the vibrancy of urban life in her design approach.

Lena's journey in the world of design began with her BA in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Colorado. Her studies took her to the American Intercontinental University in London, where she was exposed to the rich history and diverse design styles of Europe. This experience profoundly influenced her aesthetic sensibilities and sharpened her edge for innovative design.

With a strong foundation in design principles, Lena passed the National Council of Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) exam in October 2008. She honed her skills through internships at Design Works and Burk Design Group, working on a wide range of projects from residential to retail, hospitality, and automotive industry clients. Her expertise in space planning and her commitment to form following function have made her a sought-after designer in the industry.

Lena's personal style is a fusion of contemporary art, furniture design, and sculpture. She believes in incorporating unique details into her designs, often using exotic woods and statement pieces to create visually pleasing and practical spaces. Her love for the ocean and her experience living in different parts of the country have greatly influenced her design style, making her a versatile and creative force in the world of interior design.

In addition to Lena, our team includes Cole Roberts, who joined us in 2020. Cole graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a degree in Environmental Design with an emphasis in Architecture. His diverse education and extensive travel have made him a connoisseur of design and a lover of music. Cole brings a discerning taste and a passion for interior design to our team.

Our newest member, Claire Haydel, joined us in May 2022. Claire holds a BFA in Interior Architecture and Design from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Growing up in rural Louisiana, Claire was influenced by the natural hues and spatial dimensions of nature. She enjoys incorporating historical inspiration along with her knowledge of interior architecture and spatial planning to help create beautiful designs that suit the taste and unique needs of each client.
