Come for the wine - stay for the views

Our Story

At Mt. Hood Winery, we're proud of our rich history that spans over a century. Our journey began with our family's farming traditions, which have been passed down through generations. We've been growing tree fruit in the Hood River Valley since 1909, but it wasn't until 2000 that we took a bold step into the wine business.

From Farm to Table

Our winemaker, Rich Cushman, joined us in 2007 and brought with him a wealth of experience from Germany and UC Davis. Together, we created a winery that would showcase the best of our vineyards. Our wines are crafted with the utmost care, using traditional techniques and cutting-edge technology. We're dedicated to producing award-winning wines that are true to our heritage.

Our Wines

Our wine selection is a testament to our commitment to excellence. From our Summit Red Pinot Noir to our Chardonnay Pear Bubbly, every wine is carefully crafted to delight the palate. Whether you're a wine connoisseur or just discovering the world of wine, we invite you to explore our collection.

Our Philosophy

At Mt. Hood Winery, we believe that great wine is not just about the wine itself, but about the people and the place that go into creating it. We're proud to be a part of the Columbia Gorge wine community, and we're committed to producing high-quality wines that reflect our heritage and our passion for winemaking. Whether you're a wine lover or just looking for a unique experience, we welcome you to join us on this journey.

Our Awards and Accolades

We're honored to have received numerous awards and accolades for our wines, including the 2016 Oregon Winery of the Year award from Wine Press Northwest. Our award-winning wines have been recognized for their quality and excellence, and we're proud to be part of the Oregon wine industry.
