Our Story

Our journey began in 1986, when our founder, Peg Cobb, started showing and breeding Golden Retrievers under the "Starvale" prefix. Over the years, we have expanded our services to include agility and obedience training, boarding, and stud services. In 1998, we formally founded Hand-in-Paw Kennels, which has since become a haven for dog lovers in Addison County.

Our Services

As a full-service dog facility, we offer a range of services designed to cater to your dog's every need. From agility and obedience training classes to boarding and stud services, we have got you covered. Our training classes are held in our state-of-the-art facility, featuring both indoor and outdoor obedience and agility rings, as well as a spacious 50' x 90'' training building fully matted, heated, and air-conditioned for your training comfort.

Our Facility

Our facility is designed to provide a comfortable and safe environment for both you and your dog. Our boarding kennel is a small, cozy addition to the training building, featuring radiant heating and rubber mats in each kennel. With large windows for sunlight and ventilation, our kennel is a peaceful haven for your furry friend. We also carry a range of all-natural dog food, treats, toys, and supplies, as well as a selection of gift items for both you and your pet.

Meet Our Team

Our team is led by Peg Cobb, an experienced breeder, trainer, and handler with numerous titles in conformation, obedience, agility, and freestyle. Peg is a member of several dog clubs and organizations, including the Golden Retriever Club of America, Burlington Obedience Training Club, and the World Canine Freestyle Organization. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional service, guidance, and support to help you and your dog achieve your goals.
