Our team of attorneys at Ernesto Velarde-Danache, Inc. is comprised of experienced professionals with a deep understanding of the legal and business landscape in Mexico. Our attorneys have between 10 and 35 years of experience in their respective areas of expertise.

Ernesto Velarde-Danache, the founder of our firm, is an experienced attorney and Mexican Notary Public with a strong background in real estate due diligence and acquisitions, incorporations, permitting, labor and employment, governmental relations, tax, customs, immigration, and environmental law.

Our team also includes Angel Smith, a Senior Associate based in our Reynosa Branch Office; Enrique Villarreal, a Senior Associate based in our Main Office in Brownsville, Texas; Carlos Porras, a Senior Associate based in our Matamoros Branch Office; Victor Aguilar, a Senior Associate based in our Main Office in Brownsville, Texas and Reynosa Tamaulipas; and Kevin Gonzalez, a Junior Associate based in our Matamoros Branch Office.

Our History

Ernesto Velarde-Danache, Inc. was founded in 1989 by Ernesto Velarde-Danache, who at the time had several years of experience working for an internationally recognized law firm in Mexico City and had completed several post-graduate courses in Europe. Since its inception, our firm has been dedicated to providing full-service legal support to foreign companies venturing into Mexico.

Our goal has always been to provide our clients with a one-stop-shop for all their legal needs in Mexico. We take pride in our ability to promptly and diligently address every basic or ancillary need of a foreign company entering Mexico.

In addition to our Brownsville office, we have expanded to include three Mexican locations: Matamoros and Reynosa, Tamaulipas, and an office in Leon, Guanajuato. These locations are strategically chosen for their attractiveness to foreign-owned companies and their proximity to the US-Mexico border.
