The New Jersey Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (NJAND) envisions a state where all NJ residents, at all stages of life, thrive through the transformative power of food and nutrition. We accelerate improvements in NJ's health and wellness through food and nutrition.
Who We Are
NJAND is a dynamic organization of passionate registered dietitian nutritionists (RDNs) and nutrition and dietetic technicians/assistants (NDTs) dedicated to empowering communities in New Jersey to achieve optimal health and well-being through:
- Public education: We promote public understanding of nutrition and its connection to health through blog posts, media outreach, and community events.
- Policy advocacy: We advocate for policies that support access to healthy food and nutrition education in our communities.
- Professional development: We offer continuing education opportunities and networking platforms for RDNs and NDTs.
- Community outreach: We partner with organizations to provide nutrition services to underserved communities.
