Our Journey
Our story starts with Joe Carroll, a passionate farmer with a love for the land. Inspired by his childhood experiences on the family farm, Joe and his wife Betty embarked on a journey to establish a winery on their picturesque property atop Mount Nittany in 1983. A visit to Australia in 1988 proved pivotal, sparking a vision for a thriving winery in the heart of Pennsylvania.
Winemaking Expertise
Guided by Joe's early training as a mechanical engineer and his years of hands-on experience, Mount Nittany Vineyard & Winery opened its doors in 1990. Today, the reins are held by Joe's daughter, Linda, as General Manager, and her husband Steve, who serves as Vineyard Manager. Their meticulous approach to winemaking, coupled with the expertise of their dedicated team, produces exceptional vintages year after year.
