Schmidt Mortgage Company, a division of Click n' Close Inc., has been a prominent figure in the mortgage industry since its establishment in 1940. With humble beginnings as "Frank A. Schmidt & Son's" in Cleveland, Ohio, the company initially focused on originating and servicing residential and commercial real estate loans. In 1959, the company was incorporated, and in 1992, it became one of the first 100 lenders in the country to be approved as a seller/servicer of Fannie Mae. In 2010, Jeffrey E. Bode acquired the company, moving the corporate office to Addison, Texas, and renaming it Mid America Mortgage, Inc. In June 2022, the company took on its current name, Click n' Close Inc.
