Welcome to Chaney's Canine Country Club, a premier destination for all your pet care needs. Located just minutes south of Mount Pleasant, Iowa, our facility spans eighty acres of private property, providing a comfortable and secure environment for your furry friend.

Our story began in 2006 when Hal and Michelle Chaney, with their combined experience of over 50 years in the industry, decided to turn their passion for dogs into a business. Hal, a seasoned dog trainer since 1986, and Michelle, a skilled groomer and showman since 1988, built Chaney's Canine Country Club to provide top-notch boarding, grooming, and training services.

Boarding

At Chaney's Canine Country Club, we offer a variety of boarding options to suit your pet's needs. Our smaller pets enjoy a quiet, climate-controlled boarding room separate from the larger dogs, ensuring a peaceful and stress-free stay. The larger dogs have spacious 4'x10' runs with infloor heat in the winter, country fresh air on nice days, and air conditioning during hot summer days. We also have large privacy-fenced play yards for your pet to exercise and relieve themselves several times a day.

We understand that every pet has unique needs, which is why we ask that you provide your pet's food to maintain their regular diet. Our team will give your pet plenty of love and individualized attention, ensuring they feel right at home during their stay. Our boarding hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, with before or after-hours drop-off or pickup by appointment. Weekend and holiday drop-off or pickup are also available by appointment. We are open 365 days a year, making us a reliable choice for your pet care needs.

Grooming

In June 2001, Michelle (Muffin) Chaney opened THE GROOMING ROOM in Mount Pleasant, just north of the town square. THE GROOMING ROOM moved to its new location four miles south of Mount Pleasant in March 2008. At Chaney's Canine Country Club, we continue Michelle's legacy by offering grooming services for all breeds of dogs and cats. Our experienced groomers provide high-quality grooming services, ensuring your pet looks and feels their best.

Training

Hal Chaney has been training gun dogs full-time since 1986, making him one of the most experienced trainers in the industry. At Chaney's Canine Country Club, we offer basic obedience training for family pets and advanced training for gundogs. Our training services are tailored to meet your pet's unique needs, ensuring they learn and grow in a positive and nurturing environment.
