About Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine practice that involves the insertion and manipulation of flexible, hair-thin needles at specific acupuncture points on the body. This supplements deficiency or drains excess in the body, thereby promoting balance and health.

Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years to enhance the mind and body, prevent and treat disease, relieve pain, balance mood, boost athletic performance, maximize fertility, and improve overall health and wellness. It has been recognized by the National Institute of Health (NIH) and the World Health Organization (WHO) as an effective treatment for a wide variety of medical problems.

Our acupuncture treatments are personalized to meet the unique needs of each individual. We take a holistic approach to health and wellness, considering the whole person, including their physical, emotional, and spiritual health. We believe that this approach leads to the best outcomes and the greatest possibilities for healing and growth.

What to Expect

During your first visit, we will take a thorough health history, discuss your health goals, and create a personalized treatment plan. We will answer any questions you may have and explain what you can expect during and after your treatments.

During the treatment itself, you will lie comfortably on a treatment table while sterile, disposable needles are inserted into specific acupuncture points on your body. Most people find acupuncture to be a relaxing and rejuvenating experience, often resulting in deep mental and physical relaxation.

After the treatment, we will discuss any changes you may have noticed and provide guidance on self-care, nutrition, and lifestyle changes that may support your health and wellness goals.
