At Jewelry Appraisers & Consultants, we offer a wide range of appraisal services designed to meet the unique needs of our clients. Our services include:

• Appraisals for resale, with suggestions of potential buyers

The Appraisal Process

Our appraisal process is designed to be convenient and thorough. After scheduling an appointment, you will receive a confirmation call a few days prior to the appointment. Upon arriving with your jewelry, we will clean, photograph, and document each item while you watch and ask any questions. You will then leave with your items, and we will prepare a detailed Appraisal Report, which will include digital photos, detailed descriptions of each piece, and the current Retail Replacement Value.

Fees

Our appraisal fees are based on the level of expertise and time required for each appraisal. Fees vary from an hourly rate to a flat fee, with a base fee applied to each appraisal. For example, new engagement rings have a flat fee of $125, and new wedding bands have a flat fee of $75. All fees are payable by cash, check, or credit card.

About Us

Barbara R. Nevius, BA, GG, Certified Senior Member NAJA, has been involved in the jewelry industry for over thirty years, with extensive experience in Southeast Asia, Western Europe, and the United States. She has earned a Graduate Gemologist certificate from the Gemological Institute of America, is a Certified Senior Member of the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers, and is an Accredited Senior Gemologist with the Accredited Gemologists Association.
