Our History and Heritage

The Moore Family roots are planted deep in the history of Clay County. Our founder, Wm. W. Moore Sr., a Scottish immigrant, settled in Knightsville, IN and began operation of a flour mill in 1876. By 1880, he opened a hardware store on Brazil's Main Street and in 1885, Mr. Moore first offered "undertaking" services. Succeeding generations of the Moore family have dedicated themselves to the family vocation, perfecting their craft and building a tradition of service and professional technical skill that established a standard of personal service and unmatched attention to detail.
