Our New Home

Our previous location on North 21st Street served us well for over 15 years, but as our firm grew, we found ourselves in need of a larger space. In the summer of 2020, we made the decision to pack up and move into a historic cigar manufacturer's building on 4th Street in downtown Newark. This building, originally constructed at the turn of the 20th century, housed the J.F. Cherry Cigar Company and later became a partner to the Swisher Brothers of Swisher Sweets Cigars. With its original hardwood floors, nearly pristine brickwork, and even cigar molds left on the third floor, this building has a unique historic charm that is impossible to replicate.

We have completed the first phase of our renovation, and the building is now a well-lit, clean, and welcoming space that is no longer neglected and decaying. We are proud to be a part of the revitalization of downtown Newark and are excited to see what the future holds for our firm in this new location.

Our Team

Our team at Northpoint Ohio Architecture is made up of experienced and talented professionals who are dedicated to providing the highest quality architectural services. Our principal architect, Philip M. Claggett, AIA, has over 25 years of experience in the field and is well-known for his creativity and ingenuity. John Adams, our project manager, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to every project. Cody Swartz, our other project manager, is known for his attention to detail and his ability to deliver projects on time and within budget. Finally, our intern architect, Kori Caughenbaugh, provides valuable support and fresh ideas to the team.
