Welcome to Prefurred Pet Wash and Grooming, your one-stop destination for all your pet's grooming needs. We are thrilled to share our story with you, and how we came to be the trusted name in pet grooming in Ocala, Florida.

Our journey began in July of 2007, when our founders, Ginny and Ken Campbell, were inspired by a unique service they saw on the Orange County Chopper show. They witnessed the owners taking their large warehouse dog to a self-service dog wash, and it was an idea that they found incredibly exciting. After discussing it with friends and family, researching existing pet wash services, and talking to pet wash owners in other cities and states, they decided to take the plunge and start their own pet wash service.

Ginny and Ken, along with their friends Cindy Mark and her husband Dwayne, were determined to offer this innovative service to the pet-loving community of Ocala. They found the perfect location, just a stone's throw away from the Millennium Dog Park, and began their new endeavor. Their beautiful Yorkies, Clover and Sassy, have been their constant companions throughout this journey.

Fast forward to December of 2022, and 15 years later, Prefurred Pet Wash and Grooming has grown into a thriving business with a dedicated team of 16 employees. Our team is passionate about providing top-notch service to our furry clients and their owners. We have expanded our services to include full-service bathing, blowouts, and nail care for dogs and cats of all breeds.

Our Services

At Prefurred Pet Wash and Grooming, we understand that every pet is unique and deserves personalized attention. That's why we offer a range of services tailored to meet the specific needs of your pet.

• Full Service Wash: Our full-service wash includes washing with your choice of shampoo and conditioner, blow drying, cleaning ears, cutting nails, and finishing with one of our great-smelling sprays. We clean up the mess, so you don't have to! Appointments are highly recommended to ensure your pet receives personal attention.

• Nail Clipping: If your pet just needs a nail trim, we offer nail clipping only for $12.00. We also Dremel nails for a more comfortable and safer experience for your pet.

• Shampoo Choices: We offer a variety of shampoos to cater to different skin types and needs. Our options include Grimenator for a deep down clean, Odor Eliminator for stinky pets, Oatmeal for dry and sensitive skin, Flea & Tick for those pesky bugs, Medicated or Dandruff for itchy and flaky skin, and Hypo for sensitive skin with no dyes or perfume. There is a $2.00 upcharge for using Medicated or Dandruff shampoo.

Appointments and Hours of Operation

We are open six days a week, with hours of operation from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. On Saturdays, we are open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We are closed on Wednesdays to give our team a well-deserved break.
