Meet Your "Faboteur"

Dave spent two decades designing in New York City for brands including Kenneth Cole and J. Crew. His move to Dallas in 2010 inspired a change in creative trajectory, and an opportunity to pursue his not-so-secret love: interior design. With a foot still firmly in the world of NY design and style, he leverages the endless inspiration it provides in his studio's creative process.

Originally from Atlanta, GA, Dave received his degree in Surface Design from Georgia State University School of Art and Design. He lives in the Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas, with his faithful pups Lulu & Niko, and an ungrateful cat.

Our Design Process

We're working together. Now what? Here's what to expect:

Step 1: Measure

We meet up at your home, and we scan the space we'll be working on with our proprietary LiDAR Scanner. We'll also discuss and photograph what of your existing things you might want to use in your new design. This usually takes about 1/2 hour of design time.

Step 2: Render and Design

For whole room or whole home designs, we'll build a 3-D rendering of the space, to exact scale, so you can see precisely what your new furniture, paint color, drapery, or wallpaper will look like in your home. We can even simulate your home's orientation to the sun, and see how your room will look at any time of day, or any time of year! Click HERE for an example.

Step 3: Review Design and Revisions

This is the fun part. Once the rendering and design is complete, we can easily make changes to it. You'd rather patterned drapery? A different chair? We will do that, until the design looks just the way you like it. Usually we do two to three revisions, and we factor that in to our initial design time estimate.

Step 4: Sourcing

Once we have landed on a final design, we'll find the perfect items for your new space, whether it's furniture, paint, or accessories. Our partnerships with leading design companies ensure you'll have access to the best and latest trends.

Big or Little, It's Our Perfect Project

Sometimes you just need help with paint colors, or finding a sofa. We're hourly-fee based, so you get just the help you need, no matter how small your project. Tell us what you want to do, and we'll tell you up front the time it'll take. Your initial consultation is ALWAYS free.

Of course, we love our big jobs, too. Our hourly rate goes down a bit above 10 hours, and keeps things predictable, as you'll always know ahead of time how much the design of your project will cost. No hidden surprises or upcharges.
