Pinewood Kennels

Welcome to Pinewood Kennels, a place where your pets are treated with the same love and care as our own. We understand that your animals are more than just pets - they are your babies, your loved ones, your friends. That's why we take extra steps to ensure their safety, well-being, and comfort while they stay with us.

Our kennel is located on 41 beautiful acres in Queen Anne's County, Maryland, and is conveniently accessible from Dover, DE, Smyrna, DE, Middletown, DE, Chestertown, MD, and Easton, MD. We are open Mondays - Saturdays, from 7:30 am-noon and on Mondays - Fridays, from 4 pm - 5 pm, and closed on Sundays and major holidays.

At Pinewood Kennels, we offer climate-controlled lodging with heat and central AC, private indoor lodging with a private outdoor elimination area, and freshwater changed daily and as needed. Our guests enjoy music playing throughout the day and comfortable raised Kuranda beds. We serve Fromm dog food as our in-house food choice, but you are welcome to bring your pet's favorite food if desired. We also offer on-site property resident supervision, time in our fenced-in play area multiple times a day, walks or extra playtime for $8 an hour, and medication dispensing for $2 and up per day.

We, the owners of Pinewood Kennels, have been involved in competitive obedience and agility for more than 15 years, and we have a dozen dogs of our own, including Rottweilers, border collies, a schipperke, and a xoloitzcuintli. We purchased Pinewood Kennels because we couldn't find a suitable place to take our dogs, especially our deaf Rottweiler with medical issues. We wanted to create a kennel where we would feel comfortable leaving our four-legged family members, and we are committed to providing the same high level of service to your animals.

Services & Pricing

We offer the following services and pricing:

• Dog boarding: $35 per day for one dog, $55 per day for two dogs in the same run
• Cat boarding: $25 per day
• Dogs must show proof of current vaccines, including kennel cough (Bordetella) and rabies given at least 2 weeks prior to their stay.
• Dogs are given time every day in the large fenced-in areas to relieve themselves and play.
• We offer additional services such as playing ball or taking your dogs on walks through our 41-acre farm for an additional fee of $8.00 per day.
• While we are not groomers, we can bathe your dog and trim nails for an additional fee.

We are proud to offer agility classes on our property in the spring, summer, and fall. During the winter months, we teach agility indoors at another location. Not sure what agility is or if this is the dog sport for you? Come watch a class or two and see for yourself!
