Welcome to Mt. Mitchell Golf Course, a haven for golfers nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our course is a player-friendly par 72, designed by Fred W. Hawtree, the renowned golf course designer. Hawtree's only United States course, Mt. Mitchell Golf Club offers a unique experience with breathtaking views on every shot. The course features bent grass from tee to green, a pristine river flowing through it, and is virtually flat, making it a favorite among golfers of all skill levels.

Our history dates back to 1975, when the course was built. Since then, we've become a staple in the community, known for our challenging yet enjoyable rounds. We're proud to be a part of the Hawtree family's legacy, who have contributed generations of designers to the world of golf. Our course is a four and one half star rating by Golf Digest's "Places to Play" and was ranked #11 in 2016 by Golfweek Magazine as one of the "Best in State" in North Carolina.
