Our Story

Burly Fish Tattoo has been serving the Northern Arizona community with professional tattooing and piercing services since 1999. When Patrick, our founder, first opened the studio, he was focused on creating a welcoming and comfortable space for our clients. Over the years, we have expanded our staff to include experienced A.P.P. piercers and incorporated a wide variety of implant-grade body jewelry and decorative adornments from around the globe. We take pride in being the oldest professional tattoo studio in the region, and we remain dedicated to offering the highest standard of quality and professionalism to our clients.

The Studio

At Burly Fish Tattoo, we believe in blending the latest technology with time-honored tradition. Our cozy studio may have undergone several changes throughout the years, but our commitment to maintaining the highest standards in sterility remains unchanged. We utilize state-of-the-art equipment like digital portfolios and a Statim sterile autoclave to ensure that everything is kept clean and up-to-date. Our studio is conveniently located at 11 S. Our Team

At Burly Fish Tattoo, we believe that a knowledgeable and professional team is the backbone of our business. Our experienced staff includes:

• Patrick Sans, tattoo artist and owner, has over 30 years of experience in the industry. With a deep appreciation for the history of tattooing, Patrick creates unique and timeless tattoos that reflect his love of bright, bold colors and American Traditional designs.
• Darren Babbitt, tattoo artist, has been tattooing since 2010. Darren takes pride in offering a high standard of quality and professionalism in every piece he creates.
• Justin McCawley, piercer, has been piercing for 10 years in cities like Seattle and Tucson. Justin is eager to learn about the Flagstaff community and is available to pierce Tuesdays through Thursdays.
• Weetzie Sagarin, piercer, brings her expertise and friendly personality to our team.
• Toni Zepeda, piercing apprentice, is learning from the best and brings her passion for the industry to our team.
• Lexi Dees, counter staff, provides exceptional customer service and support.
• Abbi Mcgee, counter host, is the first friendly face you'll see when you visit our studio.
