Our Services

At Miller & Son Construction Co., we offer a wide range of services to cater to the unique needs of our clients. Our earthmoving services include deep digging subsurface structures, backfilling and compaction, spoils removal and replacement, mass and fine grading. We also specialize in highway construction, including site preparations for highway construction, reconstruction of existing highways, new roadway improvements, earthmoving, and sub-base preparation.

Our team is also equipped to handle tree removal and disposal services, including commercial jobs, as well as GPS prep services that utilize precision ground work to better serve our clients. Additionally, we offer mine reclamation services, including backfilling, compaction, waste removal, mass and fine grading, and agriculture services, including construction of waterways, terraces, dry dams, all types of surface drainage, and pond construction.

Our Projects

We take pride in our ability to complete complex projects with precision and accuracy. Some of our notable projects include the Interstate 155/74 project in Morton, IL, where we excavated approximately 400,000 cubic yards of dirt to allow for 2 new bridges to be constructed and the interchange to be reconfigured. We also worked on the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Spring Lake Levee Rehabilitation, where we regraded approximately 1500 feet of river side slope on the Illinois River Levee and placed approximately 10,000 tons of rock on the river side slope to stop the levee from eroding away.
