Our History

Mid-States Manufacturing & Engineering has been a trusted name in the material handling industry for over 50 years. Established in 1966, our company has grown from humble beginnings in a small barn in Milton, Iowa to become a leading manufacturer of non-powered material handling equipment. Our journey began when Jack Dixon and Dale Snyder founded the company, initially producing wooden stock racks. A significant breakthrough came when we were tasked with building 1000 stainless steel meat tanks for the Armour-Dial Company. This project not only pushed our capabilities but also marked the beginning of our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
