Our Story

At Sunland Vintage Winery, we are proud to continue a tradition that began with our founder, Giuseppe Giovinazzo, who left his hometown in Italy in the early 1900s to pursue his passion for winemaking. After learning the art of winemaking in Italy, Giuseppe eventually made his way to the United States, where he founded Sunland Vintage Company in 1935.

Over the years, the company grew and prospered, with Giuseppe's son, my father, becoming a well-known figure in the community and a member of the Sons of Italy charitable organization. He also had a passion for Thoroughbred race horses, and his love for the sport was passed down to his children.

As the years went by, our family's involvement in the wine industry was temporarily put on hold. However, in 2010, I, the current owner, decided to embark on a new venture, starting Sunland Vintage Winery. My journey into the wine industry began with a desire to bring a taste of old Italy to the good people of California.

Our Wines

At Sunland Vintage Winery, we pride ourselves on offering a range of unique and premium wines that showcase the rich flavors and aromas of Italy. Our labels, Giovinazzo and SVI, offer a selection of Italian varietals grown and bottled in California. From our flagship Nebbiolo and Barbera to our proprietary blends, such as Tre Ragazzi and Delicate Princes, our wines are designed to tantalize the senses and leave a lasting impression.

In just a short four years, Sunland Vintage Winery has garnered numerous awards for our wines. Our Tre Ragazzi blend took home a Double-Gold award from the American Wine Society, while our 2008 Nebbiolo won a Four-Star Gold award from the Orange County Fair.
