Forest Lake Campground

Forest Lake Campground has provided family-friendly camping experiences in Truxton, NY since the mid-1960s. Our 350-acre property features spacious campsites with essential amenities including electricity, water hookups, fire pits, and picnic tables. The centerpiece of our grounds is an eight-acre private lake ideal for canoeing, kayaking, and family recreation. Surrounded by rolling hills creating an Adirondack-like atmosphere, we maintain a rustic charm while continuously upgrading facilities to enhance guest comfort. Our seasonal operation from May 1 to October 15 caters to both short-term visitors and long-term residents who return year after year to create lasting memories.

The Sutton family remains personally involved in daily operations, ensuring our original mission of fostering family connections through nature endures. We maintain strict safety protocols including pet regulations and visitor registration requirements to preserve our peaceful environment. Our camp store serves as the central hub for check-ins, information, and guest assistance throughout their stay. While modernizing aging infrastructure, we preserve the natural beauty and open spaces that have defined our campground for generations.
