The Gallery Space

Housed in the historic Frank B. Long House, built in 1894, Groveland Gallery is an architectural gem located on the edge of downtown Minneapolis. The Long House, designed by Long and his partner Frederick Kees, is a stunning example of Richardsonian Romanesque style, built with Ortonville granite from Southwestern Minnesota. The building's striking resemblance to the Hennepin County Courthouse reflects Long and Kees' significant contributions to Minneapolis' iconic architectural landscape.

Listed in the National Register of Historic Places, the Frank B. Long House provides a fitting backdrop for the exhibition and appreciation of fine art. With its high ceilings, intricate woodwork, and abundant natural light, the gallery space offers an inspiring setting in which visitors can engage with the artwork on display.
