Whim Wood specializes in custom one-of-a-kind wood furniture and household accessories. These fine treasures are made primarily from native hardwoods found in the Muncie, Indiana area.

Whim Wood is a family-owned business that has been in operation since 1996. The company was founded by David Calvin, who is a skilled craftsman with a passion for creating unique and beautiful pieces of furniture and accessories from natural materials. David's design influences include Scandinavian and the Arts and Crafts movement.

At Whim Wood, we believe that wood is an organic material with many variations in grain, color, and texture. These characteristics can be utilized in the design and construction of furniture to bring out the grace and beauty of the wood. In addition, we try to give the finished piece a look that says, "Touch me."

We are proud to display the Indiana Artisan symbol. This symbol represents the highest quality of craftsmanship and materials. We invite you to experience the Indiana Artisan Marketplace at the State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, where you can see and purchase the best of Indiana's artisanal goods.
