At Halo Jiu-Jitsu, our mission is to empower individuals from various walks of life to reach their full potential through the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and Muay Thai. Our journey began in 2009 when our founder, Angel Lopez, stepped onto the Jiu-Jitsu mat for the first time and was instantly hooked. With the guidance of Professor Luis "Speedy" Gonzales and Tinguinha, Angel's passion for BJJ grew, and he soon became an affiliate of Tinguinha BJJ.
Under the mentorship of these esteemed instructors, Angel continued to hone his skills, eventually earning his Black Belt in 2016. As a certified instructor, Angel has dedicated himself to spreading the benefits of Jiu-Jitsu to people of all ages, from kids to grandparents, and from beginners to seasoned practitioners. His dream is to create a community where individuals can come together to learn, grow, and thrive.
