Carl's Pet Care Center

C.A.R.L.'s Pet Care Center is a unique and exceptional pet care facility that offers a range of services to pet owners in Ventura County. As a non-profit organization, our mission is to provide high-quality care with kindness in a home away from home, while also generating revenue to support our rescue efforts.

Our Story

C.A.R.L.'s Pet Care Center is owned by Canine Adoption and Rescue League, a 501(c)3 Private Non-Profit No-Kill Organization. Since 1996, Canine Adoption and Rescue League has rescued and placed thousands of unwanted, sick, abandoned, and homeless dogs. In 2005, C.A.R.L. purchased an operating boarding kennel and renamed it C.A.R.L.'s Pet Care Center. Our facility is located on a two-acre property in Santa Paula, California, and features a 2,400 square foot on-site residence, 60 outdoor runs, 30 indoor/outdoor runs, 15 outdoor runs, 50 exercise yards, and bathing facilities.

Our Services

At C.A.R.L.'s Pet Care Center, we offer a range of services to meet the needs of pet owners in Ventura County. Our dog boarding services include spacious outdoor runs with concrete foundations and concrete brick houses, as well as indoor/outdoor runs with concrete flooring. We also offer additional services such as feeding and medication administration, as well as playtime and socialization activities. For our feline friends, we offer comfortable and clean cat boarding facilities with individualized attention and care.

Our caretaker lives on-site to ensure your pet's safety 24 hours a day, and our staff members are trained in animal first aid and CPR. We also have a strong focus on community involvement and outreach, with all proceeds from our public boarding clientele supporting our rescue efforts.
