At Dana Point Montessori Preschool, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing and engaging environment that fosters the intellectual, social, and emotional growth of our students. Our experienced and trained staff uses the Montessori method of education, which emphasizes self-directed learning and hands-on exploration, to help our students develop into curious and confident learners.
Our Programs
We offer a range of programs to cater to the unique needs of our students. Our toddler program is designed for children aged 2-3 years, and is focused on preparing them for the primary program. We work on potty training, and our children participate in activities such as watering plants, washing toys, and sorting colors. They also engage in sensorial activities and have the opportunity to explore their surroundings.
Our primary program, which serves children aged 3-6 years, is designed to promote independent learning and discovery. We have five main areas: practical life, sensorial, cultural, math, and language. Our teachers act as observers, allowing the children to take the lead in their learning. This approach encourages children to develop a sense of ownership and pride in their work.
Additional Programs
In addition to our regular programs, we also offer special programs such as summer camp, which takes place during the months of July and August. During this time, we continue our academic activities but also incorporate extra fun activities such as water play, sports days, and special visitors. We also offer healthy lunches and snacks, made fresh at the school using organic and natural ingredients whenever possible.
We also offer art and music classes, which are an integral part of our curriculum. Our art class, led by Ms. Tedra, introduces our primary students to various art techniques and mediums, while our music class with Mr. Jules teaches children new songs, introduces them to different instruments, and encourages them to express themselves through music and movement.

We are always looking for qualified professionals to join our team. We are currently hiring substitute teachers and floaters with a minimum of 12 ECE units and CPR and First Aid certification.
