Our Story

We are Ted and Joy, the proud owners of Cypress Grove Wedding Venue. We are empty nesters who returned to our hometown and purchased this property in 2016, with a vision to create a unique and memorable wedding destination. We live on-site, allowing us to personally ensure that every detail of your special day is meticulously taken care of. Our property has been beautifully restored to maintain its original charm, while incorporating modern conveniences to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for our guests.

Services Offered

At Cypress Grove, we specialize in intimate weddings with guest lists of less than 150 people. Our venue offers a range of services to make your wedding planning process seamless and stress-free. Our stunning open-air chapel features 14-foot stained glass windows and a functioning 30-foot bell tower, creating a breathtaking backdrop for your ceremony. The historic general store reception space, built in 1886, has been beautifully restored to maintain its original charm, while offering modern amenities for your reception. We also offer a range of accommodations, including a stunning bridal cottage, a groomsman prairie barn with lodging, and an onsite turn-of-the-century 1905 farmhouse for overflow lodging. One of the most unique features of our venue is that we allow you to check-in on Friday morning and have access to all three buildings until Sunday, giving you the freedom to create a wedding weekend experience that is truly unforgettable.
