Your 'Bud' in the business!
We are pleased to introduce April Love Photography, a unique fusion of photography and encaustic painting. As a self-taught photographer with over seventeen years of experience, April Adams has honed her skills to capture the essence of human vulnerability and resilience. Her artistic journey has led her to explore the darker facets of human emotion and existence, often juxtaposing the subject against their surroundings, symbolizing our struggle to confront raw emotions in a cold and fear-driven world.
April's artwork is a testament to her ability to evoke emotion and thought through visual storytelling. Her photographs are not just mere scenes, but rather a window into the depths of the human soul. With each image, she invites viewers to confront their own emotions and experience the world through a new and profound perspective.

About the Artist
Artist Statement:
As a photographer and encaustic painter, I have discovered a profound means of self-expression when words elude me. Being highly empathic, I feel everything on a deep and visceral level, and it is through my art that I find solace and a voice to convey the complex emotions that dwell within. My work is often perceived as dark, delving into the depths of human experience and the shadows that inhabit our souls. However, upon closer examination, one can uncover a glimmer of hope and clarity amidst the obscurity. Through the interplay of light, shadows, and textures, I capture the essence of human vulnerability and resilience, often juxtaposing the subject against their surroundings, symbolizing our struggle to confront raw emotions in a cold and fear-driven world.
I believe that embracing and leaning into these emotions is crucial to understanding our true selves and fostering personal growth. Society often shies away from confronting such raw feelings, but I see great importance in exploring them for they lead us towards healing and self-discovery. Through my art, I invite viewers to confront their own emotions. It is my hope that my creations serve as a catalyst for introspection and connection, resonating with others through visual storytelling. In a world that often seeks to numb emotions, my art stands as a reminder that true growth lies in embracing our humanity, seeking new perspectives, accepting the darkness within, and finding hope and clarity on the other side.
