Balancing Body, Mind, and Spirit for Optimal Health
Rona Bian, the founder of Rona Acupuncture & TCM, was born in Tianjin, China, and grew up with a deep admiration for her mother, a local hospital doctor. Rona's childhood experiences inspired her to pursue a career in medicine, and she went on to study at Tianjin College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China for 5 years, specializing in both traditional Chinese and Western Medicine. After graduation, Rona served as a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine in various departments at HeDong Traditional Chinese Medical Hospital for 17 years, gaining extensive experience in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room settings.
Rona's dedication to her patients and her pursuit of knowledge led her to become the Chief of Staff of Traditional Chinese Medicine, where she specialized in managing difficult cases, including cancer. She published several research articles in Tianjin Traditional Chinese Medicine and The Practical Traditional Medicine Journal, further establishing her reputation as a knowledgeable and experienced practitioner.
In 2001, Rona's family moved to the United States, and she trained at South Baylo University of Oriental Medicine in Los Angeles, receiving her California Acupuncture License and Clean Needle Certification. She then moved to Colorado, obtained her Colorado license, and opened her acupuncture clinic in Colorado Springs. While her license restricts her to specific forms of Traditional Chinese Medicine treatments, Rona utilizes her extensive wisdom and knowledge to diagnose and treat medical problems and illnesses. It is a privilege for her to serve the community of Colorado Springs.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is an integrated healing philosophy that has been practiced for over 2,000 years. It is the oldest professional, continually-practiced, literate medicine in the world. Central to TCM are the concepts of Qi (energy flow) and Yin/Yang (the balance of forces throughout nature and the human body). TCM also includes the Five Element Theory, which states that the five elements of wood, fire, earth, metal, and water correspond to different organs and systems in the body.
TCM practitioners use a variety of techniques to diagnose and treat medical problems, including acupuncture, moxibustion, herbal remedies, nutrition, and lifestyle recommendations. Acupuncture involves the insertion of thin needles into specific points on the body to stimulate the flow of Qi and promote healing. Moxibustion involves the burning of mugwort near specific points on the body to stimulate the flow of Qi. Herbal remedies can be used to address a variety of health issues, and nutrition and lifestyle recommendations can help support overall health and well-being.
At Rona Acupuncture & TCM, we offer a variety of services based on Traditional Chinese Medicine, including consultations, acupuncture, moxibustion, herbal remedies, and other techniques. Our goal is to help our patients achieve optimal health and well-being through the use of these integrated healing practices.
