Poe Motors was founded in 1963 by Wayne Poe and his son Tommy Poe in Dallas, Texas. The business began as a wholesale operation before opening its first lot in 1980 on Buckner Boulevard. During the 1980s, the next generation joined the family business, with Tommys children Tracy and Keri beginning their careers at the car lot. Tracy and Keri have since built lifelong careers with the company. In 1997 the business relocated to the Cedar Creek Lake Area. In 2019 the company moved to Wills Point, Texas, and Tommys youngest daughter Kim joined her siblings at the lot.The company returned to Seven Points, Texas in 2022 and a new permanent office was completed in 2024. Seven Points remains the permanent home of Poe Motors. Younger family members work during the summer months, continuing the tradition of training the next generation. Poe Motors values its longterm repeat customers and looks forward to serving new clients for many years to come. The dealership remains family owned and operated, maintaining a commissionfree, pressurefree environment.
