Interstate Mechanical Services is a leading provider of commercial HVAC installations and mechanical systems servicing in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Since our establishment in 2010, we have successfully completed over 348 construction projects, 5,568 service projects, and currently maintain 103 service contracts. Our ultimate goal is to provide the highest grade of commercial HVAC installations within client budgets.

Meet the Team

Dana Willard, President of Interstate Mechanical Services, is responsible for Business Operations as well as leading the Sales and Service Department for the company. Dana is heavily involved with Project Management along with generating new clients and services for Interstate Mechanical Services. He has been a member of the Pipefitters #537 Union in Boston for 35 years and began working for Commonwealth Air Conditioning and Heating Inc. in 1980. In 2003, Dana entered into the sales department for CommAir as a Sales Engineer. In October of 2010, Dana opened the doors to Interstate Mechanical Services as a mechanical contractor in the Local #537. Among many things, Dana enjoys golf, home projects, and quality time with his grandchildren and family.

Roger Gagnon, Vice President of Interstate Mechanical Services, is responsible for all work involved in ensuring each project runs smoothly and has everything needed to complete on time and in budget. He also specializes in designing custom mechanical systems for customers. Roger has been in the industry for over 22 years and has been in the Local #537 Pipefitter's Union of Boston for over 15 years. For much of his career, he worked for Commonwealth Air Conditioning & Heating Inc. and Emcor Services, where he gained experience in both service and pipe fitting installation and worked on a variety of equipment from chillers to water bubblers. On his off-time, Roger enjoys traveling, photography, surfing, mountain biking, scuba diving, boating, and spending time with his daughter, Julia.

Greg Willard, Sales Engineer/Project Manager, has been in the HVAC field for five years as one of the first employees of Interstate Mechanical Services. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts in Dartmouth with a Bachelor's Degree in Science-Mechanical Engineering in 2013. Greg is involved in every aspect of business for Interstate Mechanical Services. He primarily focuses on plan spec projects and utilizes his engineering expertise as a Project Manager for many of Interstate's larger projects. Greg is a key component of new project and new client procurement and is one of the leaders of the Estimating and Sales Department.

Bob Blackwood, Business Operations Manager, is primarily responsible for all accounts payable and accounts receivable for the company. He works to empower customer relationships and ensure profitable performance of business operations. Along with managing the A/P and A/R functions for the company, Bob also works directly with many other functions of the company.
