Great Adventures Daycare & Preschool

Welcome to Great Adventures Daycare and Preschool! We are a licensed family childcare provider serving children 18 months to 5 years of age in West Roseville, off of Pleasant Grove Blvd and Westbrook Blvd. Our mission is to provide a loving home away from home for little ones and extended support to parents with low ratios of 1 adult for every 6 children. Our staff is CPR and first aid certified, and we participate in the Catalyst Community Food Program.

Great Adventures Daycare and Preschool is owned and operated by Lindsey, a licensed home provider with over 20 years of experience in childcare. Lindsey has a degree in Criminology, Law, and Society with a minor in Psychology of Social Behavior (with an emphasis in child development) from UC Irvine. She is passionate about reading, traveling, music, and spending time with her family. Lindsey's husband, Chris, works full-time in law enforcement and moonlights as a daycare assistant when needed. Together, they have four wonderful children who have grown up alongside the daycare littles.

Our Services

Great Adventures Daycare and Preschool is a play-based program that incorporates literacy and STEAM activities (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). Our teacher-led and child-led learning opportunities are designed to meet each child's individual interests and needs. Children are encouraged to participate as leaders in their learning journey.

We utilize a variety of themes and teaching methods to reach each child where he or she is currently at in his or her development. Our curriculum includes Learning Without Tears and Zoophonics. We offer regular outings in the spring, summer, and fall, including local parks, child-friendly hiking trails, the Roseville Aquatics Complex, Apple Hill, Bishops Pumpkin Farm, restaurants, and the movies.

Academic Development

By the end of your child's time with us, he or she will be ready to enter kindergarten with a strong academic foundation in letter recognition, phonics, number recognition, basic mathematics and geometry, beginning stages of writing, as well as a stronger understanding of social studies and science.

Communication

A strong parent/provider relationship based on mutual trust, honesty, and respect is vital for each child's success and well-being. Communication is strongly encouraged! A monthly newsletter is provided at the start of each month highlighting any important dates or reminders as well as providing some information on our theme and planned activities for the month. Photos are uploaded to our Facebook page for parents, friends, and family members to view. There are brief opportunities to touch base daily during drop-off and pick-up, during planned family or parent activities, and I am available via phone and email as well.
