Simpler Surveying & Associate Inc. was founded in 1987 by Theodore B. Simpler, P.L.S. 289 and Gregory M. Hook, P.L.S. 711. Today, Gregory M. Hook and his knowledgeable and experienced staff continue the tradition of surveying excellence in Sussex County, Delaware. With nearly 40 years of experience, Simpler Surveying & Associate specializes in Location Surveys, Elevation Certificates, All Disciplines of Construction Stakeouts, Topographical Surveys, Boundary Reconnaissance Surveys, House and Piling Stakeouts, Global Position System (GPS) and Real Time Kinematics (RTK). Our firm's knowledgeable and experienced office staff utilizes the latest in computer technology, including AutoCad 2022 powered by 2022 Carlson Civil Suite software.

About Us

Greg Hook, PLS 711, is the owner and operator of Simpler Surveying and has nearly 40 years of experience. He graduated from Salisbury State University in 1990 with a Bachelor Degree of Science and became a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS 711) in January of 2006. Michael Loveland, LSIT 013, is the project manager and has been with our company since October of 2012. He graduated from Delaware Technical and Community College in 2005 with an Associates Degree in Civil Engineering Technology and became a Land Surveyor Intern (LSIT 013) in January of 2021. Matt Levesque has been with our company since March of 2023 and graduated from Northern Virginia Community College in 2010 with an Associates Degree in Construction Management.
