Balletschool

At BalletSchool, our mission is to provide a positive and supportive environment where dancers of all ages and skill levels can learn, grow, and thrive. Our experienced instructors are dedicated to helping students develop their technical skills, artistic expression, and confidence. We believe that dance is a powerful tool for promoting physical and mental well-being, and we strive to create a sense of community and belonging among our students.

Our Services

We offer a wide range of dance classes for children and adults, including:

Ballet

• Ballet 1 (Light Blue) for 1st grade & up
• Ballet 2 (Lilac) for 2nd grade & up
• Ballet 3 (Mulberry) for 3rd grade & up
• Ballet 4 (Red) for high school students
• Ballet 5 (Navy) for experienced dancers
• Ballet Pointe: For students taking at least 2 days/week
• Variation (Repertoire): For students in Ballet Pointe
• Beginner Ballet: For new dancers
• Intermediate Foundation Ballet: For dancers with at least a few years of experience
• Intermediate/Advanced Ballet: For experienced dancers with a strong grasp of ballet technique and vocabulary

Hip Hop, Jazz, Contemporary, and Tap

• Hip Hop: To inspire everyone not only to follow hip hop choreography, but also to let people find their own unique expression through hip hop dancing
• Jazz, Contemporary, and Tap: For students age 5 and up

Summer Programs

• Intensive Ballet 2024: A 5-day program for teens and adults
• Summer Classes: A variety of ballet and hip hop classes for all ages
• Ballet Camps: A fun and interactive way for students to learn and grow

School Year Schedule

• Monday: Ballet, Hip Hop, and Contemporary classes
• Tuesday: Ballet, Hip Hop, and Contemporary classes
• Thursday: Ballet and Hip Hop classes
• Saturday: Ballet and Hip Hop classes

We are located at 2409 Ivy Rd, Charlottesville, Virginia, 22903, next to Bellair Market/Gas station.
