The Value of Physical Education
In years past Gymnastics was the basis of all Physical Education curriculum. As schools move away from this activity, we become ever more important for the accumulation of balance, strength, and flexibility that will allow athletes of any sport a greater opportunity to succeed. Our competitive programs have had great successes. But our biggest success is the children we reach every week and make a physically challenging sport fun and inviting. Many times we do not see the final outcome of our efforts, but with a solid program based in making fitness fun, we know many of tomorrow's champions are present in our facility every week.
What We Offer
Trampoline & Tumbling: Trampolining is a competitive Olympic sport in which gymnasts performs 10 acrobatics skills in sequence while bouncing on a trampoline. These can include simple jumps in the pike, tuck, or straddle position to more complex combinations of forward or backward somersaults and twists. Double Mini-Trampoline is smaller than a regulation competition trampoline. It has a sloped end and a flat bed. The gymnasts run up and jump onto the sloping end and then jump onto the flat part before dismounting onto a mat. Skills are performed during the jumps or as they dismount. A double mini-trampoline consists of two types of pass. In the one, which is known as a Mounter pass, the athlete performs one skill in the jump from the sloping end to the flat bed and a second skill as they dismount from the flat bed to the landing mat. In the second, which is known as a Spotter pass, the athlete does a straight jump from the sloping end to the flat bed to gain height, performing one skill while landing back on the flat bed and then a second skill as they dismount. These skills are similar to those performed on a regular trampoline except that there is movement laterally along the trampoline.
Preschool Gymnastics: Preschool Gymnastics Introduces your preschoolers to Gymnastics in a fun positive atmosphere. A creative floor obstacle course to each week's lesson allows your preschoolers to explore, learn, and have fun while developing their physical skills and confidence.
